Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon DVD, winner of 4 Academy Awards
The Fugitive - Special Edition (DVD, 1993)

Harrison Ford as a surgeon wrongly accused of the murder of his wife. He escapes from a prison transport bus (in one of the most spectacular stunt-action sequences then filmed) and embarks on a frantic quest for the true killer's identity, while a tenacious U.S. marshal (Tommy Lee Jones, in an Oscar-winning role) remains hot on his trail

Analyze This (1999) Robert De Niro is the Mob boss who makes a nebbish shrink (Billy Crystal) an offer he can't refuse. De Niro is wonderful keeping the Mafia air while still being hilarious.
The World Is Not Enough (1999) starring Pierce Brosnan and Sophie Marceau.  Bond is back yet again with a globe-hopping romp full of the usual suspects: big stunts, beautiful women, and witticisms.
True Lies (1994) Arnold Schwarzenneger and Jamie Lee Curtis.  She thinks he's a boring computer salesman; he's actually an anti-terrorist agent — as she finds out! (Comedy lines, incredible stunts and great Argentine Tango add to the fun).
Amadeus - Director's Cut (1984, DVD Two-Disc Special Edition) Excellent performances of Mozart's music make this almost-factual comedy about envious Salieri's plot to kill Mozart a favorite.
Scent of a Woman (1992) Al Pacino won an Oscar as an ornery blind colonel planning one final weekend of pleasure... taking his unsuspecting guide exploring honor, passion, loyalty, and morals.
Brave Heart (1995) Mel Gibson as the 13th century Scottish rebel who brings his country to freedom from British tyranny. Breathtaking account of masculine power directed towards good. Oscars for Best Picture, Director, Cinematography
Practical Magic (1998) Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman play spell-casting sisters in this delightful romantic comedy about love, magic, and feminine power.

Lord of the Rings - Trilogy (2001, 2002, 2003)
Better Than Chocolate Delicious lesbian love story, comical "coming out to mom" plot, operatic sex-toy discoveries, great lip-synch musical numbers and delightful (rated R) sex scenes.
Harry Potter
The Medicine Man -- A research scientist (Sean Connery) discovers a cure for cancer in the Brazilian rain forest, but then can't retrace his steps in creating the potion. Added pressure comes from developers burning down the forest.  Witty banter with his boss (Lorraine Bracco) who has arrived to assist, and with the natives, keeps the entertainment going. Breathtaking cinematography of the rainforest,  punctuated by thrilling aerial sequences high above in the jungle canopy - "the top shelf in the pharmacological superstore".
The Butcher's Wife (1991) Demi Moore is a Southern clairvoyant who sees signs her "true love" is ariving. George Dzundza is the New York butcher who gets sweept off his feet to marry her.  Jeff Daniels is an Aristotle-quoting therapist who gets thoroughly befuddled by her insightful comments that turn his patient's lives around.   Mary Steenbergen is a mild-mannered church chior director who wants to sing in a Lounge (and sings excellent blues)!  In the end, everyone does find their True Love, but not who any of them expect.
The Juror (1996) Demi Moore, Alec Baldwin. All he wants her to do is utter two words: "Not Guilty". Unfortunately, she is a juror in a murder trial against a Mafia boss. He is a ruthless (though charming) hitman who becomes obsessed with her yet will kill her son if she doesn't. She is strong-willed, intelligent and succeeds! A very entertaining intellectual thriller.
A Walk in the Clouds , Keanu Reeves and Aitana Sanchez-Gijon pretend to be married for one night, only to fall in love!  Anthony Quinn is delightful.  Set in the California wine country after WWII.
Operation Dumbo Drop (1995) To make things right, Danny Glover and Ray Liota must deliver an elephant through Vietnam during the War -- a hilarious Disney comedy.
Dangerous Liaisons

Rudy — The amazing true story of a man who got hold of a dream, didn't let go no matter what happened, and got his dream. After playing football, and getting a movie made about his impossible triumph and amazing enthusiasm, he became a sought-after public speaker and wrote a bestselling book.  I've heard Rudy speak in person, and he leaves people absolutely clear that even in the face of the strongest evidence arguing "you can't do that" the truth is "Yes I Can!".

"Everybody dreams.  Everybody.  And if you're like me, you've given up on your dreams dozens of times.  Back when I graduated third from the bottom of my class in high school, everyone told me to forget my dream of going to Notre Dame and getting on the football team.  But I got into Notre Dame and I played football.  Then they said I should forget the looney idea of getting a movie made about my life.  I got the movie.  They called it "Rudy".

You can be a Rudy, too!  Never quit.  Never give up.  Do everything in your power--and more--to overcome obstacles you will face in your life.  I'll show you how."
